FAQ

Q1. If I study at the British University of Bahrain, which university will award my degree?

All degrees studied at BUB are awarded by the University of Salford in the UK. The degrees available at BUB are identical to those offered on the University of Salford’s UK campus in Manchester, with the addition of the Foundation Year for students who have completed 12 years of school education.

Q2. Can I transfer to the University of Salford?

Yes, in principle any student who has completed at least one year of study at BUB can transfer to the same programme at the University of Salford in the UK. Under some circumstances, it might be possible to transfer to a different programme if you meet the necessary pre-requisites. Such requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

Q3. Will my degree be recognised in Bahrain?

Yes. All degree programmes offered at BUB are recognised by the Higher Education Council of Bahrain and students who meet HEC’s requirements will be eligible to have their degrees attested when they graduate.
