BUB is delighted to welcome its new Dean of the College of Engineering and the Built Environment, Professor Julie Cross. Professor Cross joins BUB from the University of Salford where she played a major part in the planning and development of BUB. Professor Cross is a Quantity Surveyor by academic background and has significant industrial experience as well as almost twenty years’ experience in academia. Commenting on her appointment, Professor Cross said:
“I am delighted to be involved in this exciting venture and to be helping to lead BUB during its first years. I am looking forward to welcoming our first students this October to our fabulous new campus and to the ‘Salford experience’ here in Bahrain.”
Professor Keith Sharp, BUB Vice president said: “Professor Cross brings to BUB a wealth of professional, academic and leadership experience. I am particularly pleased that, as a senior female academic in the construction field, Professor Cross will act as a role model for female students considering a career in the construction and engineering professions.”
