Tuition Fee Payment Options and Methods

Paying your tuition fee is an integral part of the registration process at the University.
If you do not arrange the payment of your fee, in advance of your start date, you must do so when you register.
If you are self-funding your studies (not receiving a full scholarship), you will have the option to pay for your tuition in full. If you choose this option, you will receive a 5% Prompt Payment Discount (PPD) on the amount you pay yourself.
Alternatively, you can choose to pay for your tuition in 2 or 4 instalments, by setting up a BUB Payment Plan and signing a personalised BUB Payment Agreement.

One Payment of Your Total Tuition Fee

This payment option is available to all students during or before the Registration and Induction Week at BUB.
There is a Prompt Payment Discount (PPD) of 5% reduction, after any other discounts/Scholarships have been applied.
Please Note – This discount is Only Available for One Week After the Course Commencement Date.
Those students who have paid their total tuition fee in full, within 1 week of the Course Commencement Date, can request a refund of 5% after their Registration is complete.

Two Equal Payments of Your Tuition Fee

Students have the option to pay their tuition fee in two equal instalments, falling due at the beginning of each Semester. Please see below for all of the accepted payment methods and the payment instalment dates, for the BUB Academic Year 2022/2023, as follows:
1st Payment | On or before the 25th of September 2022
2nd Payment | Taken on the 15th of January 2023
Please Note | In order to take advantage of the option to pay in two instalments, the mechanism for subsequent payments must be in place on or before the 25th of September 2022. This will require the submission of a post-dated cheque for the second payment or the completion of a BUB Payment Agreement and Online BUB Payment Portal registration.

Setting up a Payment Plan

Once you have accepted your offer to join the British University of Bahrain or during your registration process, a payment plan can be set up to cover the payment of your tuition fees. This will be in four instalments, with the first instalment due on or before your registration as a BUB student.
Please Note | In order to take advantage of the instalment plan, the mechanism for subsequent payments must be in place on or before 25th of September 2022. This will require the submission of post-dated cheques for the three subsequent payments or a BUB Online Payment Portal registration and the completion of a BUB Payment Agreement.
If you join BUB in September 2022 the payment plan dates will be as follows:
1st Payment | On or before the 25th of September 2022
2nd Payment | Taken on the 20th of November 2022
3rd Payment | Taken on the 15th of January 2023
4th Payment | Taken on the 12th of March 2023
If you would like to take advantage of the option to pay in either two or four instalments, please E-Mail a member of the BUB Finance Team. Please include your name, your CPR number and your chosen payment option. You will then be sent a personalised payment plan, based on your fees, after any applicable scholarship reductions have been applied.
Please Note | Failure to pay your tuition fees may result in your student status being cancelled and you will be asked to leave your course. In addition, if you default on your payments, there may be financial penalties and you will not be permitted to register onto the next year of your course or to graduate.

All Fees remain payable, except in specific circumstances, as described in the :-
