BUB Student Wins Korean Language Competition
The British University of Bahrain is delighted to announce that our brilliant student Ms. Zahra Al Safi won the 1st Prize in the Korean Language competition 2020.
Due to the current COVID restrictions this was held virtually, on Thursday the 8th of October.
Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and South Korean Tourism, the competition was held in collaboration with the King Sejong Institute.
A total of 1918 competitors from 76 countries around the world took part in the event and only 10 competitors qualified, to participate in the final stage of the competition.
We formally congratulate Zahra, on winning this prestigious speaking contest.
BUB is proud to support the continued success of all of our students, in such varied fields of achievement and this is another fine example of their dedication.

To have won this prize in the face of such competition, from around the world, is absolutely outstanding and reflects Zahra’s commitment and dedication. We are honoured to have someone of her calibre as a student at BUB and we formally extend our gratitude for all her hard work, above and beyond her Quantity Surveying studies.”
We recognise that this is an incredible achievement, specifically during the challenging times we all find ourselves in. Also, taking into account all the additional work required to win, with such great competition, is highly commendable.
