Message from BUB Vice President – Professor Keith Sharp
COVID-19 Latest Update | Our primary concern at BUB is the health and safety of our students, our staff and all who come into contact with the University. For this reason we are carefully following the directives and advice from the Bahrain government and the Ministry of Education.
Although our classrooms are currently closed, BUB is committed to supporting our students to the maximum extent. As students cannot currently visit the campus we are ensuring that their learning continues by remote means.
All of our academic staff have been trained in the use of the world-leading synchronous online learning tool, Collaborate Ultra, within the Blackboard learning platform. Using this online learning tool along with Microsoft Teams and other remote methods, classes are continuing during our current closure.
Whilst it will not be possible to hold traditional exams this semester, we have agreed a range of alternative assessments with the University of Salford. Our students will not be required to attend BUB, these assessments will be conducted through remote access. We are therefore confident that our students will be able to complete their current academic year and be ready to progress to the next level in September.
