Cyber Security | Dr Al-Hamami | BUB College of ICT
BUB is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Alaa Al-Hamami to its full time faculty. Dr Al-Hamami is a Cyber Security expert. He has been teaching at BUB part time and we are now happy to welcome him to this full time position.
Dr Al-Hamami was Professor of Database Security, at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, in Amman-Jordan. This experience has added to his unique skills in this constantly evolving field. Dr Al-Hamami also has a PhD in Computer Science, from the University of East Anglia in the UK.
He now joins BUB on a full time basis, bringing along the international reputation for his research in database security. Dr Al-Hamami is also the author or co-author of more than 200 books, articles and conference papers and has supervised more than 90 doctoral and Masters theses.

“We are delighted to welcome an academic of Professor Alaa’s distinction to the full time staff of BUB. He is internationally renowned for his research in the important field of Cyber Security. He is also a kind and generous teacher, always willing to share his vast knowledge with students and colleagues. We are truly privileged to have Professor Alaa as a member of staff and I know he will make a huge contribution to the intellectual life of BUB.”
